Ontario is helping economic development partners in Dryden and Sioux Lookout develop stronger economic sustainability strategies.

McGuinty Government Promotes Strategic Economic Development through the Northern Communities Investment Readiness initiative, the Ontario government is providing $13,425 to Patricia Area Community Endeavours (PACE) to hold two workshops focused on creating strategic and integrated sustainability plans.  The workshops, one to be held on December 3rd in Sioux Lookout, the other on December 4th in Dryden, will introduce the “Natural Step” framework for sustainable development to stakeholders and citizens.

Municipal, First Nation, and institutional partners are joining together for this project.

The Natural Step is an international non-profit organization that helps organizations, business and communities take meaningful steps toward sustainability.
