Thank you for visiting the NMA website.

Trade Advisor and Administration services of the NMA program will be suspended until July 15, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Northwestern Ontario Development Network (NODN), who is the host of the NMA Trade program, is willing to field any inquiries you may have in the meantime. Contact manager@nodn.com or call (807) 768-6728.

The Northwest-Midwest Alliance project is a collaborative community economic development initiative that researches, develops and facilitates export and investment opportunities between Northwestern Ontario and the Northern Midwest United States with a focus on creating long-term sustainable employment and economic opportunities in Northwestern Ontario.

The Northwest-Midwest Alliance (NMA) trade programs are more aware, more focused, and keenly able to adapt in an ever-changing economic environment. NMA has maintained elements of the program that worked well and changed other elements to better reflect local and U.S. market forces which is an integral aspect of the organizational structure. The results of this enhanced NMA program is the identification, preparation and delivery of qualified, export-ready companies to take full advantage of the Export Continuum while enhancing Northwest communities for the betterment of the regional economy.

Critical to the sustained vitality of the Northwest economy is the trade-related momentum developed over the past decade, and delivered now by the NMA program. This trade momentum will be further supported and strengthened through private sector market expansions, public sector delivery of trade programs, stakeholder and senior government funding partnerships.
